Campfire Orange Cinnamon Rolls

Hey Friends! Okay so my family loves camping and one of the best parts of camping is trying new food to cook on the fire or in the Dutch Oven! This past weekend we went on a four day camping trip and had a great time, plus we tried a few new recipes which were all delicious!!
We of course have our favorites that go on the menu every time like cowboy breakfast but we like to try out different food each time we go!
So, I went to the handy dandy Pinterest and found this simple yummy breakfast idea. I love Pinterest so many ideas! The one thing is not everything on Pinterest is as easy as it looks so sometimes it is a trial and error meal. But fortunately for us this breakfast worked! I found it on recipebyphoto.com
This breakfast was so good and easy!
We paired it with some bacon and eggs and have a complete and easy breakfast for the whole family. So, next time you are going camping and need a simple and easy breakfast idea, try these out they are Yummy!!

Campfire Orange Cinnamon Rolls

 
This recipe is very easy all you need is:
3-4 oranges
Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls
tin foil
a pan
and a knife.
 
First, you cut the oranges in half and take out all middle of the orange (we ate the orange once it was out of the peel, so delicious) 
Second, open your cinnamon rolls and place one in each orange peel
Third, place in your pan, wrap it in tin foil and place on grill in the fire. 
Fourth, cook for about 30 minutes- check if golden brown, if not cook until golden brown
Remove from fire. 
Fifth- remove from orange peels, place on a plate, let cool for 2 minutes and them add frosting- serve warm and Enjoy the deliciousness!!

Motivational Monday #18-What truly Matters

Awe… Good Morning Friends!! Yep, it is that famous day of the week again MONDAY!
But I am ready for it this week after a great camping trip with my little family and some awesome friends. 

We had a four day camping trip together with no phones, Facebook, Instagram, Netflix. We were really out of services for those four days!! Without technology I have a lot of time to think of all the blessing I have in my life and how truly lucky and blessed I am to have such amazing people in my life!
It was so much fun just playing games, doing crafts and talking with the ones I love without any interruptions. .Don’t get me wrong I love technology but every once in awhile I think it is good for anyones soul to go without services (no technology) and really connect with the ones that mean the most to you! 

It was an Awesome trip and I am so glad we all took the time to be together! I hope everyone remembers to have a wonderful week!

Motivational Monday #17- Fresh Start

Okay today is the day I am STARTING the program that I started with when I joined Beachbody, the program that I LOVE!!
Today, I am starting 21 day fix today and can’t wait for some great results!! It is a great program and I love that I can modify on this program too because my knee is still not 100 % and I can’t do every workout.
 It won’t be easy most days (because of my knee injury) but I can’t let it STOP me. I have come too far for an injury to stop me completely and I need a fresh start and today is that day! So, as of today I will follow the 21 day fix program by eating right and training hard. I want to be the healthiest I can and I know follow this program will get me there!

21 Day Fix Results

 WOW! Can I just say how much I LOVE this program. 21 day fix is my go to workout program of choice for sure! I love the variety it has and the way it moves from upper body to lower body and yoga all in one week! It’s always something different everyday, which is one of the millions of reasons why I LOVE 21 day fix. Another reason I love 21 day fix is because it is ONLY 30 minutes a day, YES! only 30 minutes and who doesn’t have 30 minutes a day to get into great shape and take care of yourself.

Now, I have not try all of the Beachbody programs and I am not saying they don’t have other amazing programs out there because they DO for sure. I actually love to try new ones all the time. But when I am feeling like I just need something I know and am familiar with, I always go back to 21 day fix because I know I will get results, I know I can do it, and I know I will finish it.

Motivational Monday #16- Enjoy Every Moment

It is time that we all slow down and enjoy every moment we can with our family and the ones we care about. Time moves fast. Make sure you are enjoying it!
And now… My fabulous vacay to Hawaii is over but it was a blast!!
It was one of the best times of my life. I experienced things that where just AMAZING!! I will definitely have to share some of the best things we did in Maui in another post, very soon!!
But now back to reality and I have to say I am very excited to spend some quality time with my kiddos!! We have a camping trip planned and the kiddos are so excited!!
It will be a great week because I am home and with my beautiful family and I want to enjoy every moment with them!!

Apple Cider Vinegar!

Good Morning friends! I have been getting a lot of questions about my apple cider vinegar concoction, so I thought I would do a little blog post of it to give everyone the recipe for my daily ACV drink and why I drink it!!

Okay, first of all! I don’t like this drink, it really does taste bad to me but I LOVE the benefits of this drink and that is why I have been drinking it daily for the last month or so!!

apple cider vinegar


Apple Cider Vinegar Concoction

6 oz. of water
2 Tbsp. Apple Cinder Vinegar
1 tsp. Honey
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
dash of cayenne pepper
squint of lemon juice

Mix really good and Drink quickly
I plug my nose and drink it as fast as I can
1-3 times a day!! 

This drink really does have so many benefits. The reason I started drinking it was for one of the benefits ACV (apple cider vinegar)  has with helping the stomach. I was really struggling with my stomach and ACV can help settle your stomach. It’s has antibiotic properties and bacteria fighting power that help your stomach, so I thought it was worth a try! You know what it really helped, honestly it’s amazing how much it helped. At that time I decided I was going to keep drinking it and see what other benefits it had. So, I did some more research on ACV and it’s benefits. It was shocking to see all the benefits it has, it can help with weight loss, be an energy booster, detox, lower cholesterol, diabetes prevention, promote healthy blood sugar, help with heartburn, and so much more. I truly think this stuff is AMAZING!!!
I wanted to make a drink that was full of great benefits so I researched some and found some great reasons to drink this concoction daily. Now, ACV by itself is amazing but some of the other ingredients has some great benefit too. 

Honey– digestive aid, gentle on the stomach, energy booster, and helps with your memory, and helps absorb calcium 

Cinnamon– full of power antioxidants, can help lower bad cholesterol, help with headaches, arthritis, boost circulation, and so much more
Cinnamon is also one of those AMAZING spices!!

Cayenne pepper– removes the plaque adhering to arteries and cleans them, helps to make blood pressure levels normal, the capsaicin in cayenne pepper has the ability to kill cancer cells, rids the body of LDL (bad) cholesterol, it heals stomach and intestinal ulcers, relieves pain caused by rheumatism and arthritis, and it has antifungal properties and can help you fight fungal infections, it’s also useful in treating respiratory infections such as sore throats.

Lemon Juice– helps reducing pain and inflammation in joints and knees as it dissolves uric acid, excellent and rich source of vitamin C, balances to maintain the pH levels in the body, aids digestion, and help reduce body weight.
 
I hope this helps explain why I drink this concoction, it truly is AMAZING, right?? I also hope you all decide to try it out for awhile and see how it helps you. Enjoy friends!

Healthy Tip #3- Sleeping

Healthy Tip #3 is a great one- Sleeping! I am so glad sleeping is good for you because I love to sleep!
But unfortunately I don’t get enough of it. It’s getting a little better the older my kids get. It is weird my oldest is my hardest one to get to stay asleep, she is always waking me up for some reason or an other! We have tried everything under the sun to get her to sleep better (drinking warm milk, sleepy time tea, eating a protein, white sound machine, earplugs, reading, nightlights, you name it we have probably tried it, LOL) but now she is finally doing a little better. We are always telling her you need your sleep to grow and your body needs time to rest, so I am glad she is finally listening , a little anyways, because I know sleep is important to me too and I need and want it!
Without sleep I am not the nicest person to others around me. LOL!  I also notice when I don’t get enough sleep I have no motivation to do really anything especially working out or eating right! So, this mama is excited to HOPEFULLY be getting my zzz’s!

Motivational Monday #15-Thank God through it all!

GOOD MORNING friends!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous morning! Hope you are ready to start this week with a great attitude and some good motivation to get your week going right!
It is now officially summer for most of you. Yay!!  And I hope everyone  has some big plans this summer to spend quality time with your family and friends! Summer for me, since I am a teacher is a great time where I can really just be with my family, with no interruption. I love every crazy minute of the summer! 
This weekend was a hard one. I had a friend’s husband pass away and it was one of the saddest moments, he left behind a loving wife and two amazing little girls.
Life is too short and too precious to not enjoy every moment you can with people you love and care about. Life is about being around people that make you want to do and be a better person.
Please friends enjoy every moment, even the crazy ones that make you want to run away!! Hug and kiss your family and always tell them you love them.
I truly hope everyone has a great week!

GM Diet-Day Four-Over for Now

Day Four- Only Bananas and Milk

Sorry, I am a day late but day four was a total bust! I had like one banana and one glass of milk. I didn’t plan very well for this day and woke to find my bananas were way too ripe for me to eat!! So, I ate one (gagged the whole time because I really hate really ripe bananas) and decided nope I can’t eat those.
So, I ate veggies, fruit, and some protein instead and decided to put this whole GM diet on pause for now.
I will continue in the future. It has been successful so far in me losing some weight, I have lost 4 lbs. and overall feel really good! I still really miss carbs. and I think I will just continue on a low carb, high protein/veggie healthy diet for now. 
Sorry and I hope I don’t disappointed anyone but for me this is what is right for me!! Enjoy your day!

GM Diet- Day Three

Day Three- All Veggies and Fruit but no potato or bananas today!

So, Day three was not bad at all! I am missing carbs but overall it is going well! I don’t feel I am really following this diet to say if it works or not but I am doing it about 80%, just adding in the protein everyday, which I know it changing the results! But it is still a healthy diet with no carbs or dairy right now! I also miss dairy! LOL!! Posting about it daily is also helping me stay on track and accountable.



Day Three of my Experience

Breakfast- Watermelon/ 1 egg/ 2 c of water

Lunch- Garden Salad with a little grilled chicken (top with lemon juice/no dressing)/2 c of water

Snack- Wonder Soup/2 c water

Dinner- Wonder Soup w/ ground Turkey/2 c water

Snack- Watermelon

How I felt today- Day Three was really easy for me and I didn’t really feel that hungry all day but still ate because starving is not good for anyone! I did add a little more protein today (probably why I wasn’t that hungry). I think I had some kind of protein for every meal. BUT I am finally losing a little weight. YAY!! I am down 3 lbs. 🙂 So, even with adding a few things to this diet I am having some success!
Okay, now for day four- bananas and milk (ALL DAY) 🙁 Wish me luck with that!
