Making Progress in Hammer and Chisel

My Hammer and Chisel transformation is Happening!! I am so Excited. I have been making progress, like I said before I will definitely have to complete Hammer and Chisel more than once to really make the difference that I want but I am making progress, so I am super happy about that! Now, I am going to post my before picture and my half way picture, which I HATE doing but I know it is an important part of the accountability process for me. Plus, I want you to know I am really working at this and trying my best everyday to be honest with the process and my progress. I want everyone to know I am not perfect, far from it but I am trying to improve my lifestyle and most important be a healthier me!! I am grateful for my VERY supportive Husband and Kiddos. they are always encouraging me to keep going.
One thing I do know I need to work on is my food intake. I am very strict and good during the week with my meal plan but on the weekends things are not as strict. I am going to try harder to keep the consistency throughout the weekend too! I know 80-20 is a good way to think about food but the results I want it needs to be a little more like 90-10!! I am GOING to Maui in June, so I need to be bikini ready by then!! I am REALLY getting BEACHBODY ready! LOL!!
I hope I can help inspire others to want to be healthier! I would love for you to join me on my health and fitness journey!! Making progress is an AWESOME feeling, that I know you would enjoy too!
Before on the left and 4wks later on the right!

Healthy Sloppy Joes

So, my family is not huge fans of Sloppy Joes, especially since we hate Manwich, so I never make them but I decided to gamble on these because they sounded so good to me, I was looking for something new for 21 day fix, and I couldn’t believe I found a Healthy Sloppy Joe recipe, so I thought  why not?!  Also, I LOVE that it had veggies in them!! I am SO glad I tried them because they are AMAZING! I made my into a crock pot meal because lets face it, it is simply so much easier for me, being a working mom dinner can be a pain, so I really depend on my crock pot to do most of the work for me! The Healthy Sloppy Joes definitely have a kick to them, so if you are feeding them to little ones or don’t like spicy you might want to take out either the jalapeno or the crushed red pepper flakes! Or both!! I love spicy but my kiddos are not big fans so I didn’t put as much of either one in the recipe but it still had a bit of a kick! I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!! Plus, there is plenty for leftover.

Hammer and Chisel

https://i0.wp.com/www.beachbodycoach.com/uploads/fckeditor/mdbody/File/Images/MHC_Logo_800x800.png?resize=200%2C200I have recently been working out to  the AMAZING program Hammer and Chisel. I’m loving the change and the challenge of lifting weights! I am a HUGE fan of 21 day fix and have been doing that program for about a year-on and off!! Love the variety 21 day fix has, so I was really excited when Autumn (creator of 21 day fix) was part of the newest program from Beachbody Hammer and Chisel!
I was ready for a challenge. And a CHALLENGE is exactly what I got. I have never been into lifting weights and have always really liked cardio but this program has changed my mind and now I am enjoying lifting weights!! I actually had to go out and buy heavier weights. CRAZY but true I needed heavier weights, my 5 and 10 lbs. were not cutting it anymore and I knew if I really wanted to change I needed heavier ones! Now, I am using 15 and 20 lbs. weights and it has made a huge difference! My muscles are ACTUALLY sore the next day, so I know my hard work is working! haha!!

This program is not really designed for beginners but if you have been working out for awhile and want a good challenge I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hammer and Chisel for you for your next challenge!! l am not going to lie, I have had to modify some moves for sure, especially because my knee started acting up but that is OKAY! I am still doing the program and getting a great workout! I am half way through the program and I am seeing results (will post before and after pics. when I am done) but I think I will for sure have to do the program a few times to get the results I am really looking for! Don’t think I can look like Hammer and Chisel until I do it a few times! LOL!! So, keep following me on my Hammer and Chisel journey, maybe join me if you want to get your Hammer and Chisel on, too! I can’t wait to keep sharing and show my results! Wish me Luck!

21 day fix Turkey Chili

Meal Planning is one of my favorite things to do with some of my friends! We get together one Saturday, every 3 months or so and make 20+ crock pot/freezer meals for the family. The great thing about these recipes are they are quick, healthy, and kid approved (so we know everyone will be happy when we eat dinner). Meal Planning is also one of the most important things I do to stay on track and not just grab something unhealthy for dinner! I LOVE to meal plan. Also, I do it weekly with my 21 day fix menu (I will share in another post)!

We started doing crock pot meal plans about 2 years ago and it has saved my butt many times when I didn’t have anything to make for dinner! I LOVE that I can just go to the freezer and pull out something good and HEALTHY for the family. Simple put it in the crock pot before I go to work and when I get home, it is done!! Amazing!

My family has a few favorites of course and are always on the list to Meal Plan for next time but we also add a few new ones each time. One of the new ones we added is one that WE all love (even the kiddos) is the the 21 day fix Turkey Chili!! It is AMAZING!! Plus, the best part if you are a family of 4, like mine you will have leftovers for lunch or dinner the next day! Two meals in one, just the way I like it, the less I have to plan, prep, and cook the better!

So, today I am going to share the 21 day fix Turkey Chili recipe with you!

1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
2. Add turkey and cook, stirring occasionally until turkey is no longer pink.
3.  Add cooked turkey and all the ingredients into the crock pot (mine is normally froze in a freezer bag, so I have to let it thaw for a minute to get it out of the bag, then I just throw it all in and cook, it is really that easy)

5. Serve Warm, optional a dollop of plain Greek Yogurt on top

Why I Coach?

Hey Everyone! So, like I said I am a Beachbody coach and have been coaching for about 6 months and LOVE that I get the opportunity to help others achieve their fitness goals. I was attracted to the idea of being a coach for my own accountability to keep me active and going but I actually fell in love with HELPING others. I think being a teacher for 11 years shows that it is in my nature to help others and want others to succeed in their goals. I am always setting goals for my students to achieve and we celebrate when they reach them, coaching is the same thing. I help others set their fitness goals and we celebrate when they reach them! I never thought I would LOVE and be PASSIONATE about coaching as I am! I am here day or night to help you succeed!
